Kris Stoner — Children's Pastor

In 1997, Kris Stoner and five others moved to Cary as an absolute act of
trust. God was up to something- something that was going to very much
change people’s lives, and she wasn’t going to miss out on being part of it.

From the beginning, Kris has been dedicated to the children at Crosspointe
and to creating environments that relevantly communicate Jesus’ love to
them. At the same time, she’s passionately committed to the team of staff
and volunteers that she equips and leads to create a consistently great,
nurturing atmosphere for Infants through 5th graders every week.
However, not only does she love kids, she embraces the opportunity to
help and encourage parents who are seeking to raise their children to
truly know God.

Kris and her husband Greg understand the joy and the responsibility
of raising children themselves. One of Kris’s greatest joys is being
the mother of two wonderful young women. Understanding that
God’s way isn’t just a structure, but the very best life a person can
live, has been central to raising two teenagers who live that life of
faith themselves. Kris is excited to see what’s happened at Crosspointe
up till now- but even more excited about what’s yet to come. And not
merely in terms of more and bigger programs, but more and more
people, young and old, coming to understand that a life lived Jesus’
way is truly the best way to live. Kris can be found on any given day,
scurrying through the building, getting materials ready for the next big
thing. Or, she can be found in her mini-van, making the term
“Soccer Mom” cool again.
